My Dad had Diabetes and I didn't realize that it can lead to a heart attack. He passed away last year, it was a total shock. I watched him take all of the drugs and it really disturbed me, but I thought he had it under control. I really believe it is much better to cure yourself with a very healthy lifestyle, rather than use all of those drugs. Some can even cause a heart attack. I just wish I had been more proactive and done more to talk about it with him, help him get more information and encourage him to use natural methods instead of drugs, which can also lead to a false sense of security and the person going back to their old unhealthy habits. The doctor also told me that I now could be a contender for diabetes, so I am extremely careful to stay as healthy as possible, low GI diet, low sugar, loads of veg/anti oxidant etc and exercise, keeping weight down etc. Hope this helps someone else out there, please encourage anyone you love to take good care of themselves, any way you can, I never knew just how life threatening this disease can be.

Sorry to hear This Atul

The best key to success in control of diabetes is diet management. Carb counting method, OR Diabetes plate method is prove to be effective enough to control your rising blood sugar. Some herbs such as fennel, better guard, cinnamon sticks, lots of fibrous raw veggies is your additional help boosters.

Off course you will not achieve complete control over your blood glucose without exercise. 1 hour daily workout will really show you the desire results.

I am 46 years male. My height is 163 cms and my weight is 64 kgs. I have recently carried out Blood Sugar test which shows that I am a border line case .

In the morning my result was 125 against max 110

After lunch my result was 147 against max. 140

What precaution i must take to control my sugar level within normal range.

I came through a web site that provides information on Alternative medicine for Diabetes such as herbs, homeopathy, yoga and acupressure. What is your opinion about it, is it possible.

I have family members who have a risk of diabetes or already have them. It increases the risk of death immensely and can elevate or suppress the glucose levels. I strongly suggest one who has them to take the precautions seriously, sugar isn't serious until it gets out of control within your body. Watching your intake may be tough, but making it a habit lays a firmer foundation for your health. Losing family because of diabetes is heartbreaking as every health problem is once it damages the body of someone.
