I took a very heavy breakfast with sweets and sweetened milk at 11a.m and got blood sugar tested at 1.30p.m. It came out 120mg/dl. Is it normal?

Hi,
I am 43 yrs old married and mother of two. I am on treatment for rehumatiod arthritis { ayurvedic medicines}. My mother and her sisters are all daibetic. Last week my blood test showed a 90. Am I at a risk of delevoping it.

i am checked my blood sugar yesterday night at 8.30pm. i drink tea at 6pm
my blood sugar was 103. i wants to know my blood sugar is low or normal

i have a query.

i know some one who has FBS 318 and PP 381. he is a male of about 43 - 44 years. he is on medication and is consulting a physician, who is specialised on diabetis. but irrespective of the treatment, there is not much improvement.

what should be the suitable course of action for him and his family.

Great article.. I think blood glucose should be in the range of 90-130 mg/dl while fasting and less than 180 mg/dl after meals. Exercise is important for diabetics because the blood glucose levels respond dramatically to physical activity.

Where is answer of Hari's comment for right level of Blood sugar? As per my knoledge it is 70-110, and 70-130. Please clarify.

dear sir

i want to state that normal fasting blood glucose is in beetween 70-110mg/dl insted of 80-120mg/dl. as i have studied, amd in ts always less than 140mg/dl in post parandial suger test that is after 2 hours. kindly please correct me if iam wrong

Very good information. I would like to know the meaning of pre diabetic. I am 43 yrs male healthy, When I tested FBS in the morbing, it was 85 gl and 2 hrs after having heavy abnormal meal it was 147 gl, does it mean I am diabetic or pre diabetic, I weigh 87 kgs with ht of 5 feet 7 inch.
